Frequently asked questions
Does the AI send my notes anywhere?
No. Card suggestions are written by the model built into your device, so your notes are not uploaded — there is nowhere for them to go. The feature needs a device that supports on-device AI, and reads the languages that model supports. Everything else in the app works on every supported device.
Does My Reviewer work offline?
Yes. The app is offline-first — creating, studying, and quizzing all work with no connection. Your data is stored on your device.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Optional cloud backup uses your own iCloud or Google Drive.
Is my data private?
Your study data lives on your device in an encrypted database, and it is never sent to us. Cloud backup, if you enable it, is encrypted and stored in your personal cloud.
Do you collect analytics?
Yes, by default. Usage statistics and crash reports are on from the first time you open the app — it does not ask first — and they come to us through Google Firebase. They never include your reviewers, cards, answers or attachments. Switch either off anytime in Settings under Privacy, and collection stops immediately. Personalized ads are a separate choice and stay off unless you turn them on.
Is it free?
Yes. Studying, quizzes, spaced repetition, statistics, sharing and import/export are all free, with unlimited reviewers, and the free app shows ads. Free accounts get an allowance of cards and media attachments across the whole library; Pro lifts both, removes the ads, and adds encrypted cloud backup.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a single one-time purchase — nothing renews and nothing lapses. The App Store and Google Play show the price in your own currency, so open the app or your store listing to see what it costs where you are.
Which platforms are supported?
iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. Tablet layouts are supported.
